‘trad’ Climbing
Follow a lead climber on a route, removing gear and leaving the rock untouched!
‘Trad’ climbing is when a lead climber makes their way up the rock face, placing safety protection into the rock. Once they have completed the route, the ‘second’ climber will climb the route removing the gear that’s been placed. This leaves the route untouched and as you found it.
Ideally you should already be able to belay, if you don’t know how to do this, but would like to try trad climbing, get in touch and we can come up with a plan.
